What is PM2?
Casares del Sol is a residential area on the Costa del Sol, divided into six administrative units known as “PMs.” These units correspond to distinct parcels of land separated by roadways, plus an additional parcel allocated to an aparthotel site. Four parcels (PMs) are designated for residential apartments, one for future commercial development, and one for the aparthotel.
Our unit, PM2, is the largest of the six, consisting of 302 apartments spread across Blocks 3 to 20. The site map illustrates how the six units are arranged within Casares del Sol.

What are PM2 A, B & C
Due to its size, PM2 is informally divided into three areas: PM2A, PM2B, and PM2C. These subdivisions correspond to groups of apartments surrounding each of the three swimming pools and garden areas:
PM2A: Blocks 3 to 8.
PM2B: Blocks 9 to 13.
PM2C: Blocks 14 to 20.
Each subdivision has its own unique features, and residents can enjoy shared access to all three pools. Notably, PM2C has a hillside garden and a smaller pool, which remains open year-round. This is due to Spanish laws requiring lifeguard attendance at larger pools, making the seasonal operation of PM2A and PM2B pools more cost-effective.
Community Annual General Meetings
An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held each June, where all owners are invited to participate. At the AGM, a committee of owners is elected to oversee the operations of PM2. This committee includes a president who leads the committee and committee members who take on various responsibilities. In addition to the committee, volunteer helpers often assist with specialized tasks or contribute their skills for the benefit of the community.
If owners cannot attend the AGM, they may authorize another owner (including committee members) to vote on their behalf. However, only owners who are up-to-date with their community or Entity service charge payments are eligible to vote.
Day-to-Day Management
The daily operations of Casares del Sol are managed by our administrators, Comunimas. Their office is conveniently located at the bottom of the Casares Road in Urbanisation Paraiso del la Bahia, Bloque 18. They are responsible for:
- Coordinating maintenance tasks.
- Addressing resident concerns.
- Ensuring the smooth functioning of the PM2 community.
The Entity
Collectively, the six areas in Casares del Sol are managed under a governing body known as “the Entity.” The Entity administration oversees the shared infrastructure that benefits all residents, including road maintenance, street lighting, and the community office (Caseta) located near the entry roundabout. While the Entity handles infrastructure, individual PMs, including PM2, manage their own internal affairs.
